This February, we’re curating a once-in-a-lifetime, invite-only journey through Kannur & North Kerala - designed for a small, handpicked group.

From witnessing the sacred Kandanar Kelan Fire Theyyam to staying in a beach-facing private villa, sunset kayaking in Kavayi backwaters, exploring secluded village beaches, a Blue Flag beach, and indulging in authentic Malabar cuisine - this trip offers rare access to the cultural soul of Kannur.

Day 1: Arrival & Fire Theyyam

Arrive at the property on your own between 12:00 and 2:00 PM
Head out for a late local lunch at a nearby spot
Visit St. Angelo Fort
Walk along the Kannur Lighthouse Cliff Walk and catch a beautiful sunset
Head to witness the sacred Kandanar Kelan Fire Theyyam
Attend the first of the theyyam ritual
Return to the property and rest

➕ Additional Services: Porterage at hotels and airports, tips, insurance, laundry, and alcoholic beverages are not covered.

🏥 Natural Calamities: Any costs incurred due to unforeseen events like landslides or roadblocks are not included.

🚎 Transportation: Airfares, train and bus tickets are not part of the package and should be arranged separately.

🩺 Insurance: Health, medical, life, or accidental insurance coverage is not provided and should be arranged by the traveller.

2. What’s the difficulty level of the activities?

All activities are easy and beginner-friendly:
• Canoeing

• Beach walks
• Local exploration
No prior experience needed.

3. What level of fitness is required for this trip?

You don’t need to be super fit, but we recommend being comfortable walking 6–8K steps a day. Our trips include kayaking, village & beach walks. It’s not intense, but being reasonably active helps you enjoy the trip instead of finding it tiring. We prefer being upfront so you know what to expect and can enjoy every bit of the adventure! 💪

4. What kind of accommodation can we expect?

We stay in a beachside villa in Kannur, offering a comfortable and immersive local experience. Rooms are shared, clean, and have basic amenities, providing a warm and homely feel.

5. Is this trip suitable for solo travellers?

Absolutely! Many of our travellers join solo and leave with new friends. Our community-driven experience ensures a friendly and comfortable environment for everyone.

6. Can I extend my stay after the trip?

Yes, if you wish to explore more, we can help you with recommendations and local stay options. Just let us know in advance!

7. Is the group trip safe for female travellers?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority. We curate a respectful and inclusive travel environment, ensuring all participants feel comfortable. Our groups are diverse yet like-minded, and our experienced trip leaders are always present to assist. We stay in vetted accommodations, follow structured itineraries, and prioritise well-being at all times. Many solo female travellers have joined us before and had an amazing experience! 😊✨

8. What payment modes are available?

You can pay by UPI, Debit Cards, Credit Cards or EMI (depending on your credit card)

9. Do I need to pay the entire amount while booking?

You can book your spot by paying ₹5000. The rest of the amount can be paid before 7 days of the trip starting date.

10. ⁠What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is structured to be fair to both travellers and on-ground partners:

30 days or more before the trip start date: ✅ Full refund of the booking amount.
15–30 days before the trip start date: ➖ 25% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.
8–14 days before the trip start date: ➖50% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.
0–7 days before the trip start date: ➖75% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.

Alternative to cancellation:
If you prefer, you can transfer your booking to any other Nomads of India trip taking place within the next 6 months, and no cancellation charges will be applied.

11. Which flights or trains should I book?

Please refer to the pickup locations tab for all the flight & train details.

BOOKING CONFIRMATION: To confirm your slot, a deposit of ₹5000 needs to be paid.
FINAL PAYMENT: The outstanding balance must be settled at least 7 days before the trip's commencement. If payment is not completed by this deadline, your reservation may be subject to cancellation.
BOOKING: All reservations made with Nomads of India, henceforth referred to as 'the company', are subject to the following conditions:
The individual signing the booking form accepts these conditions and is thereafter referred to as the client.
LIABILITY: The company cannot be held accountable for consequences arising from weather conditions, flight cancellations, war, strikes, political unrest, or any other force majeure event.
The company reserves the right to employ alternative transportation or alter the itinerary in the event of breakdowns, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Any resulting additional expenses, such as extra accommodation or transport, will be the responsibility of the client and must be paid directly.
ASSUMPTION OF RISKS: Clients must acknowledge and accept the inherent hazards of adventurous and cultural holidays at their own risk.
The company is not liable for any illness, injury, or loss of property incurred during the trip.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: Mandatory insurance covering various unforeseen expenses, including medical costs, baggage loss, and trip cancellation, is required for all clients.
AUTHORITY OF THE TRIP LEADER: Clients agree to abide by the authority and decisions of the trip leader appointed by the company.
Disruptive behaviour may result in expulsion from the trip without a refund, with any associated expenses being the client's responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITY: The organizers and affiliates are not liable for accidents or natural calamities.
ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY: Nomads of India maintains a strict zero-tolerance stance against harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct, regardless of gender. Any reported incidents will undergo a swift and thorough investigation, with corresponding actions taken accordingly. Your safety is our utmost priority, and we are committed to providing a secure and empowering travel environment for all participants.
