About This Trip

We’re exploring a side of Meghalaya that most people don’t get to see, especially when the rains turn everything wild and powerful.

Think hidden waterfalls in full force, crazy green landscapes, offbeat caves, and a night of camping right by the river. Add to that kayaking, river canyoning, and getting into places that don’t show up on regular itineraries.

This isn’t a laid-back trip-it’s for people who want adventure, raw landscapes, and a bit of thrill with every day.

A small, solid group, good energy, and experiences you won’t find on a typical Meghalaya plan 🌧️

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Guwahati → Mawlyngbna

(Day 0) Book a flight/train/bus that reaches that lands on 19th July – You can explore Guwahati on your own.
(Day 1) We start early from Guwahati (around 6 AM) and drive into the hills of Meghalaya.
First stop—the mystical Mawphlang Sacred Forest, known for its ancient trees and stories.
Later, we reach Mawlyngbna and head out for the Split Rock hike.
End the day with riverside camping, good food, and chill scenes.
Overnight stay in Mawlyngbna (camping tents)

Day 2: Mawlyngbna → Sohra

Post breakfast, it’s time to get into adventure mode—river canyoning followed by kayaking.
After all the action, we drive to Sohra (Cherrapunji) and settle in for the night.

Day 3: Waterfall Day

Today is all about chasing waterfalls.
We explore Wei Sawdong, Lyngksiar, and Prut Falls—each one different and stunning in its own way.
We also visit the Mawsmai Cave for a quick cave walk. (if time allows)
Overnight camping in Sohra.

Day 4: More Waterfalls & Caves

Another day, more hidden gems.
We visit the Garden of Caves and hike to Pung Lyer Falls.
Expect a moderate-level hike, great views, and plenty of photo stops.

Day 5: Mawryngkhang Trek (Bamboo Trail) ➝ Shillong

We take on the famous Mawryngkhang Trek (Bamboo Trail)—a narrow path over a river, equal parts thrilling and scenic.
An easy-moderate level hike (4-6 hours)
Post trek, we drive to Shillong and unwind.
Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 6: Hidden Waterfall Adventure

This one’s special.
We head to a hidden waterfall setup—think layered falls, a natural infinity pool, and crystal-clear water. You can swim, try cliff jumping (if you’re up for it), or just chill and soak it all in.
Back to Shillong for the night.

Day 7: Shillong ➝ Guwahati

Visit Wards Lake in the morning.
Souvenir shopping at Police Bazaar.
Drive back to Guwahati by evening.

Note on Arrival & Departure

Please plan to arrive in Guwahati on 19th July, as the trip starts early on Day 1 (around 6–7 AM).
On the return day (26th July), book your flights after 9 PM to avoid the rush, or book for 27th July.

➕ Additional Services: Porterage at hotels and airports, tips, insurance, laundry, and alcoholic beverages are not covered.

🏥 Natural Calamities: Any costs incurred due to unforeseen events like landslides or roadblocks are not included.

🚎 Transportation: Airfares, train and bus tickets are not part of the package and should be arranged separately.

🩺 Insurance: Health, medical, life, or accidental insurance coverage is not provided and should be arranged by the traveller.

1. Why is this trip priced higher than a typical Meghalaya itinerary?

Our costs are slightly higher because the experience we offer is very different from standard Meghalaya group trips. Here’s what sets it apart:

We follow an offbeat route with a mix of lesser-known locations and a few popular ones.
The itinerary covers more spots than usual—including caves, waterfalls, treks, natural pools and local villages.
Stays are arranged on double and triple sharing, ensuring more comfort than the usual dorm-style setups.
We keep the group small (12–14 people) to ensure a more personal, engaging and inclusive experience, which also increases the per-person cost.
We also include the Mawryngkhang Bamboo Trail trek, which very few itineraries cover and is a highlight in itself.

If you compare a regular Meghalaya itinerary with ours, you’ll immediately notice how different and experience-focused this one is.

3. What is the fitness level required to join this trip?

This is a long trip with travel almost every day, which can be tiring for some. There are treks and hikes included, which are beginner-friendly, but a good fitness level is a bonus to enjoy the activities comfortably. Basic stamina for walking, climbing stairs, and short hikes will be enough, but if you enjoy being active, you’ll have an even better experience.

4. What kind of accommodation can we expect?

You can expect basic homestays for most nights, offering a comfortable and local experience. One night will be spent camping in tents, giving you a chance to sleep close to nature under the stars.

5. Is this trip suitable for solo travellers?

Absolutely! Many of our travellers join solo and leave with new friends. Our community-driven experience ensures a friendly and comfortable environment for everyone.

6. Can I extend my stay after the trip?

7. Is the group trip safe for female travellers?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority. We curate a respectful and inclusive travel environment, ensuring all participants feel comfortable. Our groups are diverse yet like-minded, and our experienced trip leaders are always present to assist. 8. What payment modes are available?

9. Do I need to pay the entire amount while booking?

You can book your spot by paying ₹10,000. The rest of the amount can be paid within 10 days of the trip’s starting date.

10. ⁠What is the cancellation policy?

60 days or more before the trip start date: ✅ Full refund of the booking amount.
59–45 days before the trip start date: ➖ 25% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.
44–30 days before the trip start date: ➖50% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.
29–14 days before the trip start date: ➖75% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.
13–0 days before the trip start date: ➖100% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.

11. How do I reach Guwahati?

You can take a flight/train/bus that reaches Guwahati on 19th July.
On 26th July, take a flight/train/bus that departs from Guwahati after 9 PM or any transportation mode that leaves on 27th July.

BOOKING CONFIRMATION: To confirm your slot, a deposit of ₹10,000 needs to be paid.
FINAL PAYMENT: The outstanding balance must be settled at least 10 days before the trip's commencement. If payment is not completed by this deadline, your reservation may be subject to cancellation.

The individual signing the booking form accepts these conditions and is thereafter referred to as the client.
LIABILITY: The company cannot be held accountable for consequences arising from weather conditions, flight cancellations, war, strikes, political unrest, or any other force majeure event.
The company reserves the right to employ alternative transportation or alter the itinerary in the event of breakdowns, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Any resulting additional expenses, such as extra accommodation or transport, will be the responsibility of the client and must be paid directly.

The company is not liable for death, any illness, injury, or loss of property incurred during the trip.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: Mandatory insurance covering various unforeseen expenses, including medical costs, baggage loss, and trip cancellation, is required for all clients.
AUTHORITY OF THE TRIP LEADER: Clients agree to abide by the authority and decisions of the trip leader appointed by the company.
Disruptive behaviour may result in expulsion from the trip without a refund, with any associated expenses being the client's responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITY: The organisers and affiliates are not liable for accidents or natural calamities.
