Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kochi → Varkala Vibes Begin

Arrive in Kochi (Airport/Railway Station).
- Note: Please take a flight/train/bus that lands in Kochi on Day 1 before 8:30 AM. Refer to pickup locations for more details.
Private pickup & road journey to Varkala. (Approx 5 Hours)
En route to brunch at a local Kerala-style restaurant.
Reach Varkala by 3 PM and check into a beautiful beachside resort.
Head out to explore the iconic North Cliff – boutique cafés, lookout points & cliffside views.
Evening black sand beach session – unwind, swim, relax.
Enjoy the nightlife of Varkala: live music, cliff cafés & coastal vibes.
Overnight stay in Varkala.

Day 2: Slow Mornings & Sunset Kayaking

Begin the day with a relaxed morning walk along the beach.
Chill at the resort or café-hop.
Head to the South Cliff for a laid-back lunch with sea views.
Leave for Paravoor Mangrove Forest in the evening.
Enjoy a magical sunset kayaking experience through calm waters & lush mangroves.
Return to Varkala for dinner & a relaxed night.

2. What’s the difficulty level of the activities?

All activities are easy and beginner-friendly:

No prior experience needed.

3. What level of fitness is required for this trip?

You don’t need to be super fit, but we recommend being comfortable walking 6–8K steps a day. Our trips include kayaking, village & beach walks. It’s not intense, but being reasonably active helps you enjoy the trip instead of finding it tiring. We prefer being upfront so you know what to expect and can enjoy every bit of the adventure! 💪

4. What kind of accommodation can we expect?

We stay in a beachside resort in Varkala, a private homestay in Munroe Island and a 3-star hotel in Kochi, offering a comfortable and immersive local experience. Rooms are shared, clean, and have basic amenities, providing a warm and homely feel.

5. Is this trip suitable for solo travellers?

Absolutely! Many of our travellers join solo and leave with new friends. Our community-driven experience ensures a friendly and comfortable environment for everyone.

6. Can I extend my stay after the trip?

7. Is the group trip safe for female travellers?

You can pay by UPI, Debit Cards, Credit Cards or EMI (depending on your credit card)

9. Do I need to pay the entire amount while booking?

You can book your spot by paying ₹5000. The rest of the amount can be paid before 7 days of the trip starting date.

10. ⁠What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is structured to be fair to both travellers and on-ground partners:

30 days or more before the trip start date: ✅ Full refund of the booking amount.
15–30 days before the trip start date: ➖ 25% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.
8–14 days before the trip start date: ➖50% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.
0–7 days before the trip start date: ➖75% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.

Alternative to cancellation:
If you prefer, you can transfer your booking to any other Nomads of India trip taking place within the next 6 months, and no cancellation charges will be applied.

11. Which flights or trains should I book?

BOOKING CONFIRMATION: To confirm your slot, a deposit of ₹5000 needs to be paid.
FINAL PAYMENT: The outstanding balance must be settled at least 7 days before the trip's commencement. If payment is not completed by this deadline, your reservation may be subject to cancellation.
BOOKING: All reservations made with Nomads of India, henceforth referred to as 'the company', are subject to the following conditions:
The individual signing the booking form accepts these conditions and is thereafter referred to as the client.
LIABILITY: The company cannot be held accountable for consequences arising from weather conditions, flight cancellations, war, strikes, political unrest, or any other force majeure event.
The company reserves the right to employ alternative transportation or alter the itinerary in the event of breakdowns, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Any resulting additional expenses, such as extra accommodation or transport, will be the responsibility of the client and must be paid directly.
ASSUMPTION OF RISKS: Clients must acknowledge and accept the inherent hazards of adventurous and cultural holidays at their own risk.
The company is not liable for any illness, injury, or loss of property incurred during the trip.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: Mandatory insurance covering various unforeseen expenses, including medical costs, baggage loss, and trip cancellation, is required for all clients.
AUTHORITY OF THE TRIP LEADER: Clients agree to abide by the authority and decisions of the trip leader appointed by the company.
Disruptive behaviour may result in expulsion from the trip without a refund, with any associated expenses being the client's responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITY: The organizers and affiliates are not liable for accidents or natural calamities.
ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY: Nomads of India maintains a strict zero-tolerance stance against harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct, regardless of gender. Any reported incidents will undergo a swift and thorough investigation, with corresponding actions taken accordingly. Your safety is our utmost priority, and we are committed to providing a secure and empowering travel environment for all participants.
