Detailed Itinerary

Day 0 & Day 1: Delhi to Dharchula

Day 0: Board an overnight AC semi-sleeper bus from Delhi to Kathgodam.
Day 1: Reach Kathgodam in the morning and begin the drive to Dharchula.
Stop en route for breakfast and lunch.
Reach Dharchula late in the evening.
Have dinner and rest for the night.

Day 2: Dharchula to Dantu Village, Darma Valley

Wake up and have breakfast.
Head to the Nepal side and stroll through the streets.
Leave for Darma Valley between 10:30 and 11:30 AM.
Stop for lunch en route.
Reach Dantu village in Darma Valley by evening and check in to your homestay.
Freshen up and head to the temple for a beautiful sunset.
Return to the stay and sleep early, as tomorrow is the big hike.

Day 3: Zero Point Hike

Have an early breakfast and leave for the Zero Point Hike.
Carry a packed lunch.
The hike is moderate, 12 KMs both ways, and takes 6-8 hours including breaks and relaxed time at the endpoint.
The trail is a mix of uphill and downhill, with most of it being a normal walk. The high altitude makes it tiring, so we take breaks in between and keep it easy for everyone.
Come back to the stay before sunset and rest for the night.

Day 4: Darma Valley to Munsiyari

Have breakfast and leave for Munsiyari.
Stop for lunch on the way.
Stop at Madkot for the hot springs, then continue to Munsiyari.
Reach Munsiyari and relax for the night.
Head to one of the cafes for dinner.

Day 5: Munsiyari Exploration

- Have breakfast and head to Thamri Kund for a short and easy hike of about 1 hour, around 2.5-3 kms.
- Head back to Munsiyari for lunch, with a stop at a hidden waterfall on the way.
- End the day at the meadows, then visit the Nanda Devi temple.
- Enjoy the last night of the trip in Munsiyari.

Day 6: Munsiyari to Delhi

- Day 6: Start early, around 7 AM, for Haldwani.
- Stop for breakfast and lunch on the way.
- Reach Haldwani by late evening and board an overnight semi-sleeper bus to Delhi.
- Day 7: Reach Delhi around 5 AM.

🚎 Transportation: Transfer from Delhi to Delhi & all local transfers. Delhi to Kathgodam & return will be in semi-sleeper AC buses & for local transfers, we will be travelling in 4x4 vehicles.

🏡 Accommodation: Shared stays for 5 nights: basic homestays in Dharchula and Darma Valley (3 nights) and a decent hotel with all facilities in Munsiyari (2 nights). This trip is about the road, the experiences and the locations, not leisure stays.

🚎 Transportation: Airfares, train and bus tickets are not part of the package and should be arranged separately.

🩺 Insurance: Health, medical, life, or accidental insurance coverage is not provided and should be arranged by the traveller.

1. How to make the payment?

2. What’s the difficulty level of the hikes?

The trip has two hikes. The Zero Point hike is moderate (12 km both ways, 6-8 hours with breaks), with mixed uphill and downhill sections and mostly normal walking, and we take breaks to keep it easy at altitude. The Thamri Kund hike is easy (about 1 hour, 2.5-3 km). No prior trekking experience is needed; however, basic fitness is necessary because of the high altitude involved.

3. What level of fitness is required for this trip?

You don’t need to be super fit, but we recommend being comfortable walking 10–12K steps a day. Our trips include hikes, village walks, and uphill trails. It’s not intense, but being reasonably active helps you enjoy the trip instead of finding it tiring. We prefer being upfront so you know what to expect and can enjoy every bit of the adventure! 💪

4. What kind of accommodation can we expect?

Stays on this trip are shared and kept simple on purpose. This is an adventure road trip, so it’s about the experiences and locations rather than leisure stays.

Dharchula and Darma Valley (3 nights): Basic local homestays. They’re old, unique and full of character, and they put you right in the middle of the valley.
Munsiyari (2 nights): A decent hotel with all facilities, so you can relax and recharge after the mountains.

Expect comfortable, clean and basic rooms in the remote stretches, not a luxury stay. The real luxury here is the views.

5. Is this trip suitable for solo travellers?

Absolutely! Many of our travellers join solo and leave with new friends. Our community-driven experience ensures a friendly and comfortable environment for everyone.

6. Can I extend my stay after the trip?

7. Is the group trip safe for female travellers?

8. What payment modes are available?

You can pay by UPI, debit cards, credit cards, or EMI (depending on your credit card)

9. Do I need to pay the entire amount while booking?

You can book your spot by paying ₹7500. The rest of the amount can be paid before 7 days of the trip starting date.

10. ⁠What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is structured to be fair to both travellers and on-ground partners:

30 days or more before the trip start date: ✅ Full refund of the booking amount.
15–30 days before the trip start date: ➖ 25% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.
8–14 days before the trip start date: ➖ 50% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.
0–7 days before the trip start date: ➖ 75% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.

Alternative to cancellation:
If you prefer, you can transfer your booking to any other Nomads of India trip taking place within the next 6 months, and no cancellation charges will be applied.

11. Which flights or trains should I book?

You can book a flight/train/bus that lands in Delhi before 7:00 PM. Our bus will depart from Delhi, between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM. And while returning, book a flight/train/bus after 8:30 AM from Delhi, as our bus reaches Delhi between 4:30 AM and 5:30 AM.

12. What is the nature of the trip, and what should we expect?

This is an adventure road trip, not a leisure holiday. It’s about the journey, the locations and the experiences, so expect:

Long drives: An overnight bus from Delhi, a full day’s drive to Dharchula, and an off-road 4×4 ride into Darma Valley. The roads are part of the adventure.
Hiking: One moderate day hike to the zero point (12 km both ways) and one short, easy hike to Thamri Kund.
Early mornings: Some days start early, whether for the sunrise views of the Panchachuli peaks or for long drive days.
Simple stays: Shared, basic homestays in Dharchula and Darma Valley, and a decent hotel with all facilities in Munsiyari.
Local food and culture: Home-cooked meals, a visit to the Nepal side of Dharchula, and a slow evening in the cafes of Munsiyari.
A small group: A like-minded group of people who’d rather be here than anywhere touristy.

If you’re looking for a relaxed, comfort-first holiday, this isn’t it. If you want remote places, big views and a trip that feels like an adventure, you’ll love it.

13. Why do we need to carry trekking bags and not suitcases?

Please pack in a trekking bag or rucksack, not a suitcase.

Suitcases are hard to load into our 4×4 vehicles, where space is limited.
Homestays in the valley are simple and compact, so a soft bag is much easier to manage.
Some stretches involve walking with your luggage, and a suitcase doesn’t work well on uneven mountain paths.

Pack light and only what you need. A 40-50 L bag plus a small daypack for the hike is usually enough.

By booking a trip with Nomads of India (operated by NOMOFIND TRAVELS LLP, hereafter referred to as “the company”), you agree to the following terms and conditions. The person making the booking is referred to as “the client” and accepts these conditions on behalf of all participants in the booking.

1. Booking & Payments

A booking is confirmed only upon payment of a deposit of ₹7,500 per person.
The remaining balance must be paid at least 7 days prior to the trip start date.
Failure to complete the payment within the specified timeline may result in automatic cancellation of the booking without a refund of the deposit.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

By the Client:

30 days or more before the trip start date: Full refund of the booking amount.
15–30 days before the trip start date: 25% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.
8–14 days before the trip start date: 50% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.
0–7 days before the trip start date: 75% of the entire amount will be charged as cancellation fees.

(All refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days.)

By the Company:

In case of trip cancellation due to insufficient bookings, operational reasons, or unforeseen circumstances, clients will be offered:
- A full refund, or
- A credit note for a future trip

3. Itinerary Changes & Flexibility

The itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions, road conditions, local regulations, or other unforeseen circumstances.
The company reserves the right to modify routes, accommodations, or schedules in the best interest of safety and the group.
No refunds will be provided for minor changes in the itinerary.

4. Liability & Responsibility

The company is not liable for any loss, injury, accident, delay, or damage caused due to:
- Weather conditions
- Natural disasters
- Political unrest
- Transport delays or cancellations
- Any other force majeure event
The company is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings during the trip.

5. Third-Party Services

Accommodation, transport, and activities are provided by third-party vendors.
While we work with trusted partners, the company is not liable for any acts, omissions, or deficiencies on their part.

6. Additional Costs

Any additional expenses arising due to delays, illness, weather disruptions, or itinerary changes (including extra accommodation, food, or transport) must be borne directly by the client.

7. Health & Fitness

Clients must ensure they are physically and mentally fit for the trip.
Any pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed before booking.
The company is not responsible for any medical emergencies arising during the trip due to undisclosed conditions.

8. Travel Insurance

All clients are required to have valid travel insurance covering:
- Medical emergencies
- Trip cancellations
- Loss of baggage
The company is not liable for any costs arising due to a lack of insurance coverage.

9. Authority of the Trip Leader

The appointed trip leader’s decisions are final and must be respected at all times.
Any behaviour deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate may result in removal from the trip without refund.
Any additional costs arising from such removal will be borne by the client.

10. Code of Conduct

Nomads of India maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards:
- Harassment
- Discrimination
- Misconduct of any kind
This applies regardless of gender, background, or group dynamics.
Strict action will be taken to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all travellers.

11. Alcohol & Substance Use

Responsible alcohol consumption is expected.
The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited.
The trip leader reserves the right to restrict participation in activities if safety is compromised.

12. Assumption of Risk

By booking the trip, clients acknowledge that adventure travel involves inherent risks.
Participation is voluntary, and all activities are undertaken at the client’s own risk.

13. Media & Content Usage

The company may capture photos/videos during the trip for promotional and marketing purposes.
By joining the trip, you consent to being featured in such content.
If you wish to opt out, please inform us in writing before the trip.

14. Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising out of these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, India.

15. Acceptance of Terms

- By making a booking, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
